As all public and private sector care providers should know, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) have ended the consultation period to their Draft Guidance outlining what health and adult social care services will need to do to meet the inspectorates soon to be legally enforceable Registration Standards. But what exactly will this mean to the providers across the country who are already burdened with the plethora of form-filling and process documentation which up until now, has only escalated toward another audit and further scrutiny of the Minimum Standards, best practice and potentially more time consuming paper work.
CQC SEEKS FEEDBACK ON GUIDANCE FOR REGISTRATION OF ALL HEALTH AND ADULT SOCIAL CARE SERVICES
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) today (Monday 1st June) launched a consultation on guidance outlining what health and adult social care services will need to do to meet new legally enforceable registration standards.
From April 2010, the regulator will begin to put in place the first ever registration system covering all health and adult social care services in England, whether they are public or independent.
CQC PUBLISHES PLANS ON HOW IT WILL ASSESS HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE IN 2009/10
The Care Quality Commission is today publishing plans on how it will assess the provision and commissioning of health and adult social care in its first year.
Building on the work of predecessor regulators, the Commission is introducing an approach that assesses quality across health and social care as it moves towards a single registration system for providers of care in both sectors in 2010.
